Aluplast x Think Polymer Technologies – Closing the Loop on PVC Waste
At Aluplast Australia, sustainability isn’t just a goal—it’s embedded in how we operate. In collaboration with Think Polymer Technologies, we’ve developed an end-to-end PVC recycling system that’s setting new standards for circular manufacturing in the building materials industry.
Our fabricators now collect and shred PVC offcuts onsite, reducing their volume and making transport more efficient. These shredded materials are then returned to our Dandenong facility using reverse logistics—maximising efficiency and minimising environmental impact. From there, we process the material down to a 5mm particle size before sending it to Think Polymer Technologies.
At Think Polymer, the PVC is rigorously analysed using proprietary technology—developed in partnership with Sustainability Victoria and CSIRO—to assess its properties and unlock its potential. Through expert formulation and manufacturing, this once-waste material is transformed into high-value, upcycled polymers and finished products.
This collaboration has only been possible through the foresight, innovation, and commitment of the entire Aluplast Australia team. By working together with Think Polymer Technologies, we’re proving that sustainable change is achievable through local partnerships, technical excellence, and a shared vision for a circular future.
